Fauna.

The fauna of this municipality is very diverse. The terrestrial one is characterized by having several species of animals such as: badger, spotted and striped fox, coyote, gray fox, American puma, wild cat, babisuri, bura deer or black tail, raccoons, rabbit, hare, bat, country rat, gopher and common rat and mouse.

There is also a great variety of birds we can mention namely: quail, mountain dove, white wing dove, cardinal, humming bird, woodpecker, rock dove, swallow, crow, mocking bird, mountain lark, palm swallow and marine birds as gulls, gray pelican, earwig, tildillo, greater yellow legs and seabird.

In the marine fauna, we can speak of nearly 850 species out of which we can mention: the black, blue and striped marlin; billfish, swordfish, dorado, tuna, sea bass, California yellowtail, wahoo, roosterfish and snappers. Most of these species are coveted mainly in sport fishing.
